2008 Founded the New Zealand Artificial Eye Service

Keith Pine made and fitted prosthetic eyes alongside his other professional activities for more than 35 years, but in 2008 he decided to focus exclusively on this discipline. This involved setting up the New Zealand Artificial Eye Service and undertaking a PhD research project to investigate the socket’s response to prosthetic eye wear.
